As part of the project’s activities, BD4QoL is exploring how the BD4QoL HNC survivorship folder and relevant Quality of Life (QoL) scores over time can be made accessible to patients, allowing them to download their QoL data.
BD4QoL partners - ARIA SpA, Lombardy Region, UPM, and DOTSOFT - are actively collaborating to develop a solution for making three validated (EORTC) QoL questionnaires collected during the trial, along with the QoL scores already visualized in the PoC, available to patients. In particular, ARIA has collected and drafted the necessary requirements, which UPM and DOTSOFT have developed and tested within two BD4QoL tools (namely, the PoC tool and the Questionnaires web tool).
Patients enrolled in the BD4QoL trial will gain access to a comprehensive evaluation report containing their QoL data, which can be downloaded as a single PDF document. This document can then be manually uploaded by patients to the ‘Taccuino’ section of their Electronic Health Record (EHR), enriching their medical history. Furthermore, patients can grant other clinicians access to their QoL data within the EHR, thereby enhancing their treatment pathway.
