BD4QoL realizes Artificial Intelligence-assisted mobile applications aimed at improving the quality of life of Head and Neck Cancer patients through personalized monitoring, support and care after treatment.

BD4QoL will adapt and implement four evidence-based strategies, shown to be effective among Head and Neck Cancer survivors.

The BD4QoL Consortium is a strong and balanced partnership combining the complementary competences, skills, structural and infrastructural capabilities that will contribute to the success of our ambitious objectives.

Artificial Intelligence plays an important role for the interpretation of the non-healthcare data that influence how patients live and manage themselves after cancer, as it generates knowledge facilitating patient's empowerment and personalized care delivery. BD4QoL unconventional technology tools grounded on AI techniques (such as behavior reconstruction, contextual reasoning, reinforcement learning) will produce rich longitudinal information about the long term effects of cancer treatment.

In addition to the results derived from the execution of randomized clinical trial, that will assess the effectiveness of an AI-based, patient self-empowerment and PoC support platform, BD4QoL produce new exploitable technologies underpinning such platform.

BD4QoL intends to significantly impact on the quality of life of people after Head and Neck Cancer through the introduction in the care workflow of innovative e-health solutions supported by large amounts of integrated unconventional and healthcare data, collected by mobile technologies, and Artificial Intelligence algorithms.
