Recruitment at CSS began in April 2022 and officially ended in April 2025, in parallel with all other participating centers in the BD4QoL project. Over these three years, in CSS, 148 patients were enrolled - each with their own story, their own past, and a unique clinical journey.
What stood out the most during this phase was the generosity of spirit shown by participants. Many, when signing their consent forms, expressed a sincere desire to help others - to ensure that their experience could contribute to improving the path for future patients who, unfortunately, might face similar challenges. The word _research_ often brought a smile to their faces, revealing not only courage and trust, but also the hope that their involvement could lead to something meaningful for themselves and for all other patients in their condition.
By choosing to share their stories and take part in the study, they reminded us that progress is possible only thanks to those who actively support it. Their contribution is both a gift and a responsibility we carry forward.
